Andrew B. Lois, 83, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2004, at his residence. He was born May 10, 1921, in Burlington, to John and Dorothy (nee: Roanhaus) Lois. On September 8, 1945, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington, he was united in marriage to Lucille Ann Tenhagen.
Andrew had been a lifetime resident of the Burlington area. He attended school at St. Alphonsus. Andrew was a Dairy Farmer and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Kenosha County Holstein Association, the Wisconsin Dairy Association, the Wheatland Fire Department, and Board Member for the Tri State Breeder Co-op. Andrew was also the "President" of the Tuesday Card Club. He loved farming, gardening, bowling, cards, and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Lois of Burlington; sons, Andrew J. (Debra) Lois, Gary (Mary Beth) Lois, and Larry (Suzanne) Lois, all of Burlington; daughter, LuAnn (Kevin) Giles of Prior Lake, Minn.; grandchildren, Kyle, Julie, Megan, Faith, Kasey, Clayton, Sarah, and Ashley; sister, Mary Robers of Springfield; and brother-in-law, Ralph Kerkman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alvin Lois and Herbert Lois; and sisters, Eleanor Kerkman and Clara Kerkman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Biersack officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. with an 8 p.m. Prayer Vigil.
