Age 76. Passed away on Thursday, July 22, 1982, at Memorial Hospital in Burlington. He was born in Kenosha on April 6, 1906, to Jacob and Mary (Mich) Schlitz. His early life was spent in Paris Township, he attended St. John's School, Paris Township, and had lived in Burlington since 1920. He was married on April 18, 1928, at St. Alphonsus Church, New Munster, to the former Amelia G. Richter, who preceded him in death on May 25, 1982. He was employed at Burlington Mills and was Sexton for St. Charles Cemetery, Burlington. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Rose Ann (Richard) Foltz; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne (Nancy) Schlitz, Richard (Deborah) Schlitz and Camille Schlitz, all of Burlington; eight grandchildren; one brother, George Schlitz of Powers Lake; one sister, Margaret Gillo of Oakland, Calif.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington. Rev. Raymond Andre will officiate. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery. Friends may call at the SCHUETTE-DANIELS FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Pine St., Burlington, on Saturday from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Memorials to St. Charles Rennovation Fund or Burlington Rescue Squad would be appreciated.
