Mr. Gory Prather, age 77, died at his residence, Webster, Kentucky Route 1, (Payneville Community), Thursday, March 24 1966. He was a retired farmer.
He was born in Meade County, September 24, 1888 the son of the late Ples Prather and Eliza West Prather.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Buford Prather and one daughter, Mrs. Henry B (Veronica) Livers of Webster, Kentucky Route 1. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 1966 from Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Payneville, Kentucky with Father Mark Rietzen officiating. Internment in church cemetery directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
Rosary services were held Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. by Father Mark Rietzen.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Larry Brown, Jimmy, Junior, Gerald, Ronnie and Joseph Wayne Livers.
