Chrystal Richter, 91, Burlington, died there Monday (Jan. 4, 1988) at the Mount Carmel Care Center.
The daughter Of the late Robert M. and Emma (Jones) Dixon. she was born June 14, 1896, in Silver Lake.
She spent her early life in Silver Lake, but was a graduate of Kenosha High School and the Rochester Academy in Rochester.
On June 18, 1919, in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. New Munster, she married William H. Richter. The couple lived in Silver Lake after their marriage, and moved to Burlington in 1968. Her husband died on Aug. 20, 1970.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society of the parish in Burlington, the Holy Name Church and its Altar and Rosary Societies in Wilmot, the Silver Lake Sunshine Club, 500 Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary of the Schulz-Hahn Post in Silver Lake.
Surviving her are five sons, Robert, Burlington, Dr. Lyle, Milwaukee, Gerald J. and Richard B. , both of Mequon, and William H., Mount Prospect, Ill.; three daughters, Marie, wife of Dr. L.E. Fait, Burlington, Mrs. Theodore (Ruth) Matt, Oconomowoc, and Mrs. Robert (Joanne) Yerkes, Grayslake, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Holtdorf, Silver Lake; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, Burlington, is in charge of arrangements.
RICHTER-Funeral services for the late Mrs. William (Chrystal) Richter, a resident of Burlington, WI, who passed away January 4th, will be held on Thursday, January 7th at 7:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Church, Burlington. Interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Burlington, Friends may call from 4:00 to 7.00 P.M. Thursday at St. Mary's Church Chapel. Memorials to St. Mary's Schools would be appreciated. The McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, Burlington, is serving the family.
