Miss Eleanor Keegan, former resident of Rock Valley, died in Santa Monica Hospital, Santa Monica, California, Wednesday, March 2.

Funeral services were held at Saint Monica's Catholic Church in Santa Monica, California. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Eleanor, the daughter of Michael and Margaret Keegan, was born in Rock Valley on October 26. 1896. She attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing at Sioux City. Upon graduation, she was employed as a nurse for thirty years at the V.A. Hospital in Arizona and Southern California.

She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughter's of America.
