Joseph Daniels, well known in Burlington died Friday at the Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, of pneumonia. Mr. Daniels has been ill for the past five weeks.
Mr. Daniels was born Sept. 21, 1889 on a farm in the town of Brighton. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Daniels. Growing to manhood, he was married on June 18, 1913, to Miss Laura Richter, the ceremony being performed at St. Alphonsus' Catholic church, at New Munster. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Daniels took up their residence on the old homestead, one mile south of Brighton, which remained their home until the time of his death.
Surviving his death are his widow, Mrs. Laura Daniels, six children, Loyola, LaVerne and Everett, at home, Lunetta, of Burlington, and Doris and Edna, of Kenosha, and one brother, Henry Daniels, of Brighton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30, in St. Francis-Xavier Catholic church at Brighton. Rev. Sylvester Groff, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in the St. Francis-Xavier cemetery.
