Mrs. Anna Knoll
Mrs. Anna Knoll, 76, passed away in Independence Friday, July 24th, 1936 following a six weeks illness of carcinoma.
Funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception church at Fairbank Monday morning conducted by Rev. Father W.J. Torpey. Burial was in the Fairbank cemetery.
Mrs. Knoll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Trebon, was born in Wisconsin April 8th, 1860 and came to Buchanan county with her parents when she was a child, the family settling on a farm near Fairbank. She was united in marriage with John Knoll in 1880 at Fairbank. He passed away thirty years ago. Surviving are two sons, Paul and Harry of Independence, and two daughters, Mrs. Ed Ford of Waucoma and Mrs. Bert Hinman of Hillsdale, Kan., three sisters, Mrs. Lena Chase of Waterloo, Mrs. Louise Zewiske of Fairbank and Mrs. Rose Zewiske of Minneapolis, Minn., and one brother, Michael Trebon of Fairbank. Mrs. Knoll was a former Fairbank resident for a number of years and won many friends here.
