Marie G. Krause, 74, of 551 Maple St., Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at her residence with St. Joseph's Hospice.
She was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Louis and Gertrude (Trebon) Gettler.
She attended McDonell High School.
Marie married Alfred Krause on Jan. 8, 1949, at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, Triniteam and Holy Ghost Church.
Marie enjoyed taking care of the elderly, crafts and was very active at church.
She is survived by: her husband, Alfred; two sons, Ronald (Patricia) of Rochester, Minn. and Daniel (Jody) of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Linda (Robert) Hutton of Chippewa Falls and Deborah (Stephen) Carter of Conifer, Colo.; one brother, Louis (Mary) Gettler of Chippewa Falls; five sisters, Dorothy Figilmiller of Chippewa Falls, Dolores (Robert) Collins of Mesa, Ariz., Yvonne (Gene) Doucette of Chippewa Falls, Carole (Robert) Marsolek of Rochester, Minn. and Darlene Borton of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Edmund Doerre will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial of cremains will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 13 and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family prefers memorials to St. Joseph's Hospice.
