Victor J. Figlmiller Jr., 64, Route 2, Holcombe, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1990, at his residence on Lake Holcombe from a pulmonary embolism.
He was born, March 23, 1926, in Eau Claire, to Marcella (Osterman) and Victor J. Figlmiller Sr.
He married Dorothy Gettler on Jure 27, 1945 at the Cathedral in St. Cloud, Minn. He owned and operated Chippewa Sewing Machine Company from 1949-79, when he retired.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a former member of Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls.
Survivors include his wife; on son, Michael (Marcia) Figlmiller of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Mary (John) Kaster of Whitewater, Vickie (Norman) Whitehead of Monroe and Carolyn (Terry) Figlmiller-Bowe of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Richard of Eau Claire and Joseph of Wausau; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Valerie Figlmiller, Michelle Kaster, Ryan and Natalie Whitehead.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Marie on June 25, 1979; his parents, two brothers, Tom and John; and one
grandchild, Anthony Whitehead.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls, where military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of the service Thursday at Horan Funeral Home. The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
