Age 77. Passed away Aug. 31, 1972 in the Burlington Memorial Hospital. Mr. Barbian was born in the Town of Wheatland, Wis., on May 4, 1895, son of Nicholas and Mary Althoff Barbian, spent his early life in the Town of Wheatland and was educated at St. Alphonsus School, New Munster, Wis. In St. Alphonsus Church, New Munster, Wis. on Nov. 12, 1940, he was married to Cecilia Lois and following their marriage lived on a farm in Powers Lake, Wis. He retired from farming and moved to Burlington in 1954. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic, Church, Burlington. Surviving are his wife, Cecilia; one foster son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fellie Of New Berlin, Wis.; three grandchildren; three brothers, John of Almond, Wis., Leo of Salem, Wis., Harry of Burlington, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Jospeh (Dorothy) Lenz of Wheatland, Wis. and Mrs. Earl (Florence) Wilson, Burlington. He was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and one grandson. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington, Msgr. Joseph J. Heim will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Burlington. Friends may call Sunday after 2 p.m. at the MCCARTHY-KOENIG FUNERAL HOME, 473 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington. Rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday.
