Mrs. Joseph B. (Dorothy T.) Lenz, 85, Route 2. Salem, died Tuesday (Dec. 4. 1984) at Memorial Hospital, Burlington.
The daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Altoff) Barbian, she was born Dec. 24, 1898 in the Town of Wheatland.
She spent her early life in New Munster and attended school there.
On Sept. 24, 1919, in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, New Munster, she married Joseph B. Lenz. The couple moved to Salem after their marriage.
A housewife and homemaker, she was active in the Wheatland 3-L Homemakers Club, Gardenaires Garden Club and an officer of the 4-H Kenosha County Extension Homemakers.
She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and the Ladies Guild of the parish and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert, Salem; a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Arlene) Roanhaus, Salem; two brothers, Leo, Silver Lake, and Harry, Burlington; a sister, Florence Wilson, Burlington; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ardell; three brothers and a sister.
LENZ - Funeral services for the late Dorothy T. Lenz, of Rt. 2 Salem, WI, who passed away at Memorial Hospital, Burlington, December 4th, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 7th at St. Alphonsus Church, New Munster. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday at the McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, 101 E. State Street, Burlington, WI. Vigil at 8.00 P.M. Thursday.
