JUNE WEDDING.
STREIT-SCHEMMER. Married at St. Mary's Catholic church, Tuesday morning, Fathers Schemmer and O'Reilly officiating.
The marriage of Miss Catherine Josephine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schemmer, and Mr. Michael A. Streit was solemnized Tuesday morning at St. Mary's church, this city, Rev. Father Schemmer of Green. Bay, Wisconsin, nephew of the bride's father, assisted by Rev. Father O'Rielly, pastor, conducting the solemn ceremonies.
Michael Streit, cousin of the groom, and Miss Rose Schemmer, sister of the bride were best man and lady. Mr. and Mrs. Streit and son Leo, father, mother and brother of the groom also Miss Boor, all of Ashton, were present, as also were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dischler, of Bancroft.
After the wedding ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride and partook of a sumptuous wedding breakfast. In the afternoon the bridal party enjoyed an hour or more waiting for the train east at the depot. The usual amount of rice was thrown.
Mr. and Mrs. Streit, after spending a short honeymoon at Spirit Lake, will be at home to their friends, after July first, at Ashton, Iowa. The friends of the happy young couple join The Bee in extending best wishes for a long, prosperous and successful married life.

Death Of Mrs. Katherine Striet
The funeral services of Mrs. Katherine Striet, whose death was mentioned in last weeks' Bee, was held from St. Mary's church in this city Friday morning.
Mrs. Striet had been sick but a short time. Before this she had always enjoyed the best of health.
The subject of this sketch was born in Rock Valley, July 15, 1884. She lived here all her life until the fall of 1907 when she was united in marriage to M.A. Striet. She and her husband then went to Ashton, Ia., where they lived until 1912 when they moved to California. They spent about two years in California, moving from there to Mitchell, S.D., where the family resided at the time of Mrs. Striet's death.
The deceased was a woman who was highly esteemed by all who knew her, and she had many warm friends in Rock Valley. Besides her husband, she leaves six small children, 4 girls and two boys, and her father, Henry Schemmer, of Glendale, California, and three brothers and two sisters, A.F. Schemmer and B.J. Schemmer of Rock Valley, and John Schemmer of Niobrara, Nebraska, and Mrs. C.P. Dischler of Heron Lake, Minn., and Mrs McGrath of San Francisco, California.
