JUNE WEDDING.
STREIT-SCHEMMER. Married at St. Mary's Catholic church, Tuesday morning, Fathers Schemmer and O'Reilly officiating.
The marriage of Miss Catherine Josephine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schemmer, and Mr. Michael A. Streit was solemnized Tuesday morning at St. Mary's church, this city, Rev. Father Schemmer of Green. Bay, Wisconsin, nephew of the bride's father, assisted by Rev. Father O'Rielly, pastor, conducting the solemn ceremonies.
Michael Streit, cousin of the groom, and Miss Rose Schemmer, sister of the bride were best man and lady. Mr. and Mrs. Streit and son Leo, father, mother and brother of the groom also Miss Boor, all of Ashton, were present, as also were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dischler, of Bancroft.
After the wedding ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride and partook of a sumptuous wedding breakfast. In the afternoon the bridal party enjoyed an hour or more waiting for the train east at the depot. The usual amount of rice was thrown.
Mr. and Mrs. Streit, after spending a short honeymoon at Spirit Lake, will be at home to their friends, after July first, at Ashton, Iowa. The friends of the happy young couple join The Bee in extending best wishes for a long, prosperous and successful married life.

Services Held Here Today for M. A. Streit
Michael A. Streit, 75, died suddenly late Monday morning at the home of a daughter at Fort Dodge. He was a brother of Matthew J. Streit, Mrs. H. M. Smith, and Mary Streit of Algona.
Mr. Streit was a retired carpenter and contractor. Although he had not been in the best of health he had not been seriously ill and his death was unexpected.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a. m. this (Thursday) morning at St. Cecelia's Catholic church in Algona. A rosary service was held Tuesday high at the Laufersweiler funeral home in Fort Dodge, and last night at. the Hamilton funeral home here. A rosary service was also held at 8 a. m. preceding the service.
Mr. Streit was born March 17, 1883, at Ashton, and attended schools there and the university of Notre Dame at South Bend. He was married June 15, 1907, to Katherine Schemmer at Rock Valley, and they lived at Ashton, where Mrs. Streit died in 1920.
In recent years Mr. Streit had made his home in Chicago, returning to Fort Dodge to make his home with his daughter, Miss Beatrice Streit, when he retired.
He is survived three daughters, Beatrice Streit, Mrs. Elmer G. Davis, Chicago and Mrs. Wm. E. Healey, Detroit. Mich., and two sons, Capt. Harold Streit, a physician with the navy medical corps at Oakland, Calif., and John Streit, Denver. There are eight grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters, Mary Streit and Mrs. H. M. Smith, Algona, Mrs. P. J. Nfichel, Ashton, and Mrs. Maurice Cullen, Fort Dodge, and two brothers, Matthew Algona, and Leo, LeGrande, Ore. A brother, Fred, died recently in Michigan.
