Carl W. Kramer, 79, died at 8:20 p.m. Monday at home. Mr. Kramer had been a knitter at the former Fort Wayne Knitting Mill and president of the local Hosiery Workers Union. He retired from Rea Magnet wire Co. in 1966, and then worked for American Tool & engineering Machine Division.
Surviving are his wife, Pansy; one son, James of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Joe of Erie, Pa., Herbert of Lima, Ohio, and Jacob of Coldwater, Mich.; for sisters, Margaret Knapke of St. Andrews, Ohio, Gertrude Wilker of St. Marys, Ohio, Kathleen Kramer of Woodcliff, Ohio, and Ann Klocerman of Edgerton, Ohio; and one foster daughter, Audrey Burbaur of Fort Wayne.
Services will be 9:40 a.m. Thursday in C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. in Precious Blood Catholic Church. Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home, where the rosary will be read at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.
