Judith Schwartz, 83, of Walworth, died on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Mercy Hospital.

Born Judith Lorrayne Bird to the late Clarance and Helen (Rubach) Bird on Feb. 2, 1934, in Burlington, Wisconsin. Judith was a member of the graduating class of 1953 from DMLC High School in New Ulm, Minn. On June 26, 1954 in Burlington she was united into marriage to John Schwartz.

Judith was known as everyone's mom. Judith took care of kids in her house and was always taking care of everyone. Judith loved the Lord and enjoyed helping the church do bulletins and quilting with the ladies at church. Judith also taught for one year in Kenosha at Friedens Lutheran and she was also a member of the Power Squadron Ladies Auxilary.

Seven children survive Judith, Stephen (Theresa) Schwartz of Kenosha, Wis.; Kathleen (Harry) Dziczek of Burton, Mich., Karen (David) Rawson of Neillsville, Wis., Kenneth (Gayle) Schwartz of Yakima, Wash., David (Kelly) Schwartz of Lake Geneva, Wis., Judith Schwartz of Williams Bay, Wis.; and Doreen (Richard) Nevelier of Walworth, Wis. 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survive Judith. Judith was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years John, on Nov. 28, 2010. Judith was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Korbin Belott.

Services for Judith will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva. Committal service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday March 24, 2017, at in the chapel of Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 23, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva. There will also be a short visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday March 24, 2017.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family has asked that you make a donation in Judith's name to First Lutheran Church. A link has been provided.
