Age 88, passed away Oct. 21 in Rockford, Ill., following a heart attack. He was born in Danzig, Germany, on May 15, 1878 and came to Burlington at the age of 18 to work for an uncle. Later, Mueller operated the Burlington Floral Co. from 1908 to 1942 on E. State St., selling out to Murphey Products. He moved to Milwaukee and worked with a daughter, Mrs. Mary Scarvaci, at Scarvaci Flowers, retiring about 10 years ago. His wife, Josephine, preceded him in death three years ago. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Mark Mueller, of Lodi, Wis., Paul, of St. Paul, Minn; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Scarvaci, Mrs. Helen Bonesho, both of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Romana Lake and Mrs. Dorothy Mikleton, both of Rockford, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at St. Patrick's church, Rockford, with interment in St. Mary's cemetery, Burlington.
