Mary Hedwig (Mueller) Scarvaci, passed away on Thurs., Dec. 2, 1999, at Mercy Hospital. She was born Dec. 20, 1913, in Burlington, WI, to Francis and Josephine (Schemmer) Mueller. After graduation, Mary joined her father in the floral and greenhouse business. Later she moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she married Nicholas Scarvaci. The two owned and operated Scarvaci Floral in Milwaukee for 40 years. Mary retired to Janesville, where she continued to be active in numerous church and social organizations.
Survivors include Ramona Mueller Lake of Janesville, Dorothey Mueller Mikleton of Rockford, IL, Paul Mueller of Waukon, IA, Helen Mueller Bonesho of Lodey Lake, FL, Mary Lake Colcord, and Helen Lake Nevins of Janesville, Susan Mueller Kimpling of Beloit; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; her son, Joseph; parents; and brother, Fr. Mark Mueller of the Madison Diocese.
Visitation will be on Fri., Dec. 3, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville, followed by a Mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. There will be a brief visitation at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at SCHRAMKA FUNERAL HOME in Milwaukee preceding the burial.
Mary was a loving Christian woman who dedicated her whole life to the needs and concerns of others. Her loss will be deeply felt by many.
