Mary C. Busch, 83, of Burlington, died Saturday (May 18, 2002) at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Born May 30, 1918 in Burlington. she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Ebbers) Epping.
On Aug. 13, 1949 she married Leland "Lee" Busch at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington. He died Dec. 12, 1992.
She was a registered nurse prior to having children.
She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Burlington and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Janesville.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Vincent DePaul Society.
She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, golfing and working in the garden. She was a member of the "Tuesday Night Cocktail Club."
Surviving are four sons: Rick (Mary), of Kenosha; Steve (Laurie), of Fishers, Ind.; Guy, of Pell Lake; and Brett, of Burlington; a daughter, Diane (Peter) Rottier, of Appleton; two brothers, Ray Epping and Ralph (Nancy) Epping, both of Burlington; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death two sons, Mike and Johnny; and a brother, Vic.
Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home in Burlington is serving the family.
BUSCH - Mass of Christian Burial for Mary C. Busch, age 83, will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at 6:30 P.M. at St. Catholic Church, Burlington, with Rev. Joseph Debski officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and may meet with the family on Tuesday, May 21 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the church. Memorials to: St. Mary's Church, Burlington; City of St. Jude; Pro-Life in Wisconsin; Priests of the Sacred Heart, Hales Corners; or the Franciscan Monastery are suggested. Mary is also survived by a brother-in-law, Donald Busch, of Burlington; sisters-in-law: Grady Epping and Agnes Busch, both of Burlington; and Margaret Busch, of Kenosha. Other survivors include grandchildren: Christopher (Amy), Joe (Cory) and Laurel Busch-Erik Rottier-John, Busch-Kaiti and Tyler; Busch-Lynn, Jeremy, and Matthew Busch-Leah Busch; and one great-grandson: Kai Busch.
