Funeral services for Vincent B Kaskie, 79, of Mitchell are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be in state from 7 to 9 p.m, Monday at Murphy Funeral Home with a 7:30 p.m. rosary.

He was born Aug. 29, 1896 at Rock Valley, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. William Kaskie and died May 23 at a local nursing home. On Nov. 20, 1917 he married Ella Kapperman at Dolton, S.D. Mr. Kaskie farmed in the Montrose area until moving to Mitchell in 1950.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph of Sioux Falls and Jerry of Reno, Nev.; three daughters, Mrs. Keith (Margaret) Kersey and Sister Mary Ellen Kaskie both of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Roy (Alyce) Palmer of Sacremento, Calif.; one brother, Roy of Mitchell; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two brothers and two sisters.
