Diercks, 94, of Readlyn, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Medical Plaza Hospital, Sherman, Texas, of congestive heart failure; survivors include a son, Clifford "Herb" Diercks of Sherman; two daughters, Beata Abbs of Florida and Darlene Calligan of Baltimore, Md.; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a son, Evan Schmidt; a daughter, Esther Matthias; three brothers; and six sisters; services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church-Bennington Township; burial in church cemetery; friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at Schumacher Funeral Home, Denver, and for an hour before services on Saturday at the church.
