Clarence H. Diercks
Services for Clarence H. Diercks, 85, of rural Dunkerton, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4110 E. Mount Road, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Diercks died Thursday morning at St. Francis Hospital.
He was born Feb. 2, 1898, son of Ernst and Anna Burke Diercks. He married Esther Tribon Jan. 12, 1925, at St. John's Lutheran Church. He farmed all his life on his rural Dunkerton farm.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Herb of Sherman, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Darlene Calligan of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Esther Marion Matthias of rural Readlyn and Mrs. Beata Abbs of Palatine, Ill.; and 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cleveland Funeral Home in Denver from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
