Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for Cecilia M. Bechtold, 91, who died at Belgrade Nursing Home.
The Rev. Jim Statz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home. Christian Mothers Rosary will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Belgrade followed by parish prayers at 8.
Cecilia Bechtold was born Nov. 26, 1904 in Presho, S.D. to Henry and Katheryn (Kapperman) Kotz. She married Fredrick A. Bechtold on July 19, 1926, in Presho. S.D. They farmed south of Presho until 1937 when they moved to the Belgrade area where they farmed. She to Belgrade in 1984 and later moved to Belgrade Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Regal, for 25 years. She became a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Belgrade, in 1984.
Survivors include sons, Lyle, Woodbury, James, Belgrade; brother and sisters, Joe, Belgrade; Sister Austin, Aberdeen, S.D.; Francis, Presho, S.D.; Margaret, Gainsville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1984; son, Leland; brothers, Herbert, Bernerd, Roy and Al; and sister, Marie.
