Aloysious H. Kotz, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1992, in Sterling, Ill.

Mr. Kotz was born on Nov. 20, 1910, in Presho. He farmed for several years in South Dakota prior to moving to Sterling 25 years ago. He worked as a custodian at the Sterling Moose for four years.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sterling and the Sterling Moose.

Survivors include five sons: Austin of South Sioux City, Neb., Gerald "Jerry" of Davenport, Iowa, Paul and Steven, both of Rockford, and James "Jim" of Presho; one daughter, Mary Agnes Haiston of Aberdeen; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph of Belgrade, Minn.; and four sisters: Sr. Austin Agnes Kotz of Aberdeen, Frances Reginetter of Presho, Margaret Thompson of Gainsville, Fla., and Cecilia Beckthold of Belgrade.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. today in Christ the King Catholic Church in Presho, with burial in Holy Angels Cemetery.

Hofmeister Funeral Chapel in Presho is in charge of arrangements.
