Robert J. Lenz, 77, of Salem, died Thursday (June 10,1999) at Mount Carmel Medical and Rehab Center of Burlington.
Born June 23,1921, in Wheatland, he was the son of the late Joseph B. and Dorothy (Barbian) Lenz. He graduated from St. Alphonsus Grade School and St. Mary's High School in Burlington.
On Sept. 25,1947, he married Sophie V. Banas at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She died Oct. 26,1975.
A welder, he owned and operated Ossies Welding Shop in Salem. He also farmed on the Joseph B. Lenz family farm.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and was involved in a local barber shop quartet.
Surviving are a son, Leonard of Colony, Texas; a daughter, Regina Burns of Mazomanie, Wis.; a sister, Arlene Roanhaus of Salem; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ardell.
Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
LENZ - Mass of Christian Burial for the late Robert J. Lenz of Salem, WI, will be held on Monday, June 14, 1999 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, New Munster with Rev. Tom Biersack Officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, June 13, 1999 from 4pm to 8pm at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, WI.
